My name is Bobbi Pinkard and I am a kindergarten teacher at Clyattville Elementary School. This is my 13th year teaching elementary education. I have a Bachelor's degree in elementary education with an endorsement in ESOL and Reading. I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I hold a CTE certification and have mentored many new teachers and students pursuing a career in education. At my previous school I served on the Leadership team, PBIS team, as the PTO secretary, Sunshine Club, and on the school SAC committee.
I had the honor of serving as the 2024 Madison County Teacher of the Year. This honor allowed me to meet an amazing cohort of teachers from all across the state of Florida, complete a Florida Teachers LEAD leadership course, and serve on the Madison County Foundation for Excellence in Education. I truly believe the process of learning how to coach other educators and inspire others has made me a better teacher. I was able to reflect on my own teaching strategies and bring new ideas into the classroom.
My kindergarten students inspire me every day as an educator. I aim to teach them not only reading, math, science, and social studies...but also how to share, be a good friend, actively listen and respond to others, use their words to stand up for themselves and others, build a love of learning and seek out new experiences, and more! My goal as a teacher every day is to teach a classroom full of our future and that means meeting all their needs, not just their academic ones. One day, the students in my classroom will be teachers, doctors, lawyers, police officers, mail carriers, linemen, fire fighters...and countless other community led jobs. My goal and inspiration, is to create in each of my students a future filled with bright, inspired, thoughtful, and empathetic individuals.
