Project Based Learning- Time to redo your bedroom.

Use a tape measure to calculate the area and perimeter of your bedroom. If your room is not a square, break the space into squares/rectangles to calculate. Draw a sketch of your room. Use a ruler to make your drawing scale 1 in= 1 ft. Draw the furniture, windows, doors in your sketch.

Pick a carpet or flooring from Lowes or Homedepot site and calculate how much it would cost to cover your floor.

Draw a picture of the view from your front porch. Take your time and add details… you’ve got plenty of time on your hands.

Write a story from the perspective of your pet having you at home 24 hours a day. My dog Zoey is delighted… Scat the cat keeps looking at me like- Why are you still here?

Plan your family’s dinner menus for the week. Look for recipes and see which ingredients you have on hand.Estimate what the items will cost. If you need to shop, go online and calculate the total bill. Help make one of the dishes.

Write an ad trying to sell your house. Convince someone moving to Valdosta you live in the best neighborhood. Focus on the positive. Small houses are called cozy. Older homes would be called classic. Go on Zillow and see what price you could ask for your home.

If you are able to take a nature walk, take pictures of plants, animal tracks, etc.. Go home and research what you found. Make a science brochure to share the information.
