My name is Pam Corbett. I've been a school counselor since 1999, beginning my years in Brooks County and then moving to Lowndes. I've worked at the elementary school level and the middle school alternative school in Brooks County, at Dewar Elementary School in Lowndes County, and most recently at the middle school level, having worked at Hahira Middle School since 2012. I was blessed to be able to take 9 years off in order to stay home with my children in their early years. My husband and I have 3 children and a dog. I'm super excited to be able to work with you and your children during their middle school years!

The HMS Counseling Department provides short term individual counseling for students for various personal, social, or academic reasons. Students may self-refer or be referred by a teacher, parent or administrator. Group counseling and guidance is provided for students for personal and family issues, study skills, motivation and attendance concerns. Counselors implement a developmental classroom guidance program to all students which reflects the middle school standards of the American School Counseling Association. Consultation services are provided by the counselors to parents, teachers, social workers, and community agencies.
