Introduction to the Library Leadership Council (LLC)

Welcome, library leaders of Washington! We hope that this description of LLC provides a good foundation for all council members. If you have any questions at all, please contact a current LLC board member, updated annually on the LLC website.

LLC is one of the various councils and commissions that, in conjunction with the Instruction Commission and the Washington Community and Technical Colleges (WACTC) presidents, develops policy recommendations for the State Board of Community and Technical Colleges (SBCTC). LLC’s relationship to SBCTC is advisory and collaborative, working specifically with SBCTC’s Educational Technology and Open Education department to help it accomplish its mission of providing accessible, affordable, and innovative digital learning options for students.

The LLC was previously the Library Media Directors Council (LMDC).
