We have purchased licenses for all student in grades K-12 and have expanded our content by purchasing The Nearpod English Learner Program.

What do we have?

Every staff member can have an account.
Every student in K-12 will have an account.
Access to specific lessons for all levels of English language acquisition.
Access to Flocabulary specific lessons.

Nearpod ELL

Welcome to Nearpod! The district has purchased Nearpod, which “is a tool for creating and delivering interactive presentations, formative or summative assessments, and content related to SEL, digital citizenship, vocabulary, social justice, and more.”

Every teacher who works with 3rd-12th grade has been given a Nearpod account. If you did not receive an email from Nearpod, please contact Kara Wilkins (kwilkins@lowell.k12.ma.us ) I will be able to quickly add you to the dashboard.

There are many reasons why we went with Nearpod as an activity/presentation subscription:

You are able to create lessons using Google Slides you already have created.
It works with Google Classroom.
You can embed videos and add quiz questions and collect analytics on watching the videos.
Nearpod comes with a huge library of ready made materials. They have partnered with companies like Khan Academy, LearnZillion, PBS Kids and more to build lessons on a variety of topics (i.e. social emotional learning, math, science, etc.). You can use the lessons as is or make a copy and edit them.
Lessons can be entirely teacher run, self paced, or a combination of both!
You can create your own lessons and gather student data through content and activities.
