This video walks you through how to create a new class for each quarter and why you should do it. You will archive a class. Not only will this solve a problem, it also allows you to have a clean start every quarter/semester.
Some other teachers in the district (at the Robinson!) have done some other things:
1) Downloading all the grades and then deleting the old assignmentsÂ
2) Making new categories labeled Q2 and changing the percentage of old categories to 0, which GC does allow.
I had a teacher friend recommend the Grade Transfer Chrome extension to move grades between Classroom and Aspen X2. Unfortunately it does cost $2.49/month but it does come highly recommended.
