Throughout the school year, students are given numerous opportunities to further their college and career readiness. Many are grade level specific and exact dates vary from year to year. The information provided here gives a general overview of some of the activities, assessments and events available to students.
The Office of School Counseling hosts a series of lectures and webinars for students and parents focusing on a variety of topics college and career related. Sponsored by the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce and the Loveland Business Advisory Council, this event in the LHS College and Career Lecture Series is designed for parents/guardians to gain a better understanding of the most in-demand careers in greater Cincinnati and beyond. The rapid transformation of the workforce over the last five years has created many new opportunities and considerations for families to make when discussing career options at home.
Holly Binnig (Chief Medical Officer at HealthSource of Ohio), Mike Ferritto (Manager at Nestle PURINA), Patty Reisz (Senior Vice President, Commercial Credit IT at Fifth Third Bank) and Steve Kelly (Fire Chief at Miami Township Fire & EMS) share information about this important topic. Everyone will leave this panel discussion with the latest information about in-demand careers as well as proven strategies for career planning success at home.

Overwhelmed by the college application process? We want to help! The College Application Seminar will focus on completing the Common Application, developing effective essays, designing resumes, searching for scholarships, and more! Seniors will leave the experience well ahead of the curve in the application process! There are NO FEES for this event.

The ROTC - Leadership Development for Service to Our Nation presentation features retired and active duty military personnel sharing information regarding the Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC). Topics include: what is ROTC, who is the ideal candidate, what is the scholarship program, how to apply and strategies for success.
