I have been participating in the competitive sport of Trampoline and Tumbling ("T&T") since 2011. After many years of competition and now near the end of my career in the sport, I am able to reflect on just how much I have gained from the sport. Unwavering dedication has brought me through 9 years of practice with my coach Tyler, which is a skill I plan to carry with me for life. The value that gymnastics places on hard work, dedication, perseverance and team work has carried over into so many aspects of my life and I cannot wait to carry those values with me to college and beyond.
The 2017-2018 Team was memorable because it was the first year I was the oldest girl. It gave me a special opportunity to bond with all the girls on the team because they would come to me with their struggles and accomplishments. It was a year that meant a lot to me because it was my first opportunity to be a leader on the team.
This is a picture from our pre season show off to parents of our new routines. This picture is my reaction to completing my pass with a skill I had a mental block on for 6 months. It taught me how pushing through challenging experiences is rewarding.
This was a huge meet for me because it was my first meet after having ankle surgery that December. It had been a hard training path to get there, but I ended up making the podium. This was a shot of my best skill in competition.
