LAHS Middle School Festival

What is LAHS Middle School Drama Festival?

"Festival" is a one-day after school event held at Los Alamitos High School. Active Jr. Thespian members prepare either a monologue, duet, or small-group (3+) scene for judging. These events are selected and rehearsed ahead of time. This festival serves as a mock festival to prepare students for State later in the year. Members will perform their selected performance piece(s) for the LAHS Thespian Troupe officers who score the students using the same scoring guide used for State. Members also have the opportunity to participate in theatre workshops led by the the LAHS Thespian Troupe officers.

Who attends LAHS Festival?

All active Jr. Thespian members at both Oak and McAuliffe attend the festival. It's a great way for students to get a chance to meet and work with the actors from McAuliffe who will one day become a Griffin Thespian!

How much does LAHS Festival cost?

Nothing! LAHS Festival is free. :)
