Course Description
- Advanced Drama is a performance based year-long elective course offered to 8th grade students on an audition-only basis.
- Students in this class will experience a year of rigorous auditions, performances, and production design.
- Building off introductory skills learned in Intermediate Drama (a prerequisite for this course), students focus on producing multiple main stage plays throughout the year.
- All main stage performances will be double-cast to allow students the opportunity to participate as both an actor and crew member.
- Students will explore costume, makeup, sets, scenery, and sound design as well as basic publicity and advertising.
