Classwork/Homework Assignments:
- Organizational skills and time management will be emphasized regularly
- Check Aeries regularly for upcoming due dates and missing assignments
- Weekly Assignments:
- Independent Reading: students will read two outside reading books per quarter
- Etymology: one word stem per day will be taught; students will take quizzes and complete supplemental assignments on Vocab.com
- Grammar: lessons completed from textbook, worksheets, and No Red Ink
- Long Term and Short Term Projects:
- Focus on strengthening time management and study skills
- Note-taking, test review techniques taught
- Late work will be marked down one grade per day late
- It is the student’s responsibility to get and make-up assignments/tests from an absence in a timely manner; use the “What did we do today?” link located on both the McAuliffe website under teacher name and on Google Classroom to see what work was missed and to get access to linked materials
Grading:
- Point system: Grades are based on the percentage of points earned
90-100% = A 70-79% = C Below 60% = failing 80-89% = B 60-69% = D
