My name is Jennifer Pitts, and I am in my 23rd year in education.  I have taught 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, & 7th grades, and this year will be my 11th year teaching 6th grade.  I grew up in Lorena, and graduated from Lorena High School many years ago.  I married my high-school sweetheart, Corey, and we have 3 great kids, a son-in-law, soon to be daughter-in-law and a grandbaby on the way! I am very passionate about my job as an educator, and absolutely love spending each day with my students!

My name is Shannon Carpenter, and I am proud to be a Lorena Leopard!

I grew up in Waco, Texas and attended both public and private schools.  I received a Bachelors in Social Work from the University of Texas.  After returning to school for a teaching certificate, I also finished a Masters in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State University.  This will be my fifteenth year in education.

I have a true passion for working with our middle school learners.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures growth in a positive environment.

I have been married to my husband John for thirteen  years and we have two wonderful sons, Peyton and Paxton.  

I look forward to working together with you as partners in your child’s academic journey.
