Meet Mrs. Darno

Hi there!

I am so excited to start a new school year with all of you! I know this year will look very different, however what will always stay the same is how much I care about my students. Together we will make this year great and memorable!

This is my second year at Lopat but I have been teaching for about 13 years. I have taught first, second, and fourth grades. Don't tell anyone but 4th is my favorite :) I am excited to read and write with you and help you believe you can do anything! We will surely make mistakes along the way but that is how we learn! Even I learn everyday, and most of the time it's my students who teach me something new!

I have been married 25 years to my husband, Paul. We have four children (ages 14, 19, 20, 22) and two dogs. We just rescued my chocolate lab Alice this Spring! I love playing games, swimming, and watching the Steelers with my family. The best time is spent with those I love!
