Bienvenidos!! My name is Ignacio Recendez and I am the spanish/physical education teacher at Penryn Elementary.

Spanish has always been a huge part of my life. My parents are both from Mexico, so I grew up in a household rich with mexican culture such as the food and holidays. I remember growing up helping my mom make tamales and learning about Dia de los Muertos. I am excited to be able to share my culture and background with all of the students.

This is the 5th year that penryn has included spanish in their curriculum and I am excited to build on it. Our lessons and unit plans are based on the sombrero time curriculum. In this website, you can find the targets and goals that we have set for each grade level. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
