Unit Three: The Giver
February 26th - March 2nd:
Summative: Do memories matter? Students will write a three-point paragraph addressing the question, do memories matter? They will pull evidence from The Giver, This I Believe Speeches, Warm Up Quotes, and more to support their claim. Due: 3/2/2018
Reading: We finished reading The Giver on Thursday, February 1st. Please catch up on your reading to prepare for the summative assessments.
Support: I am available for clarification, support, and encouragement in the mornings from 7:30AM-7:55AM, at break time, and lunch. After school support can be scheduled in advance.
Unit Two: Inside Out and Back Again
December 8th - 13th:
Summative #1: Figurative Language writing on Inside Out and Back Again. Directions and resources available on Google Classroom. Due: 12/13/2017
Summative #2: Create your own analogy. Due: 12/14/2017

Friday Reading Quiz: Our Reading Quiz this Friday will be on Chapters 24-31. Remember to study!!!
Summative Assessment: Next week, we will wrap up our reading and make our way into our Summative Assessment. We will be creating 6-word memoirs for a character in the novel and write a 3-point paragraph explain our word choice. More information to come.
