Mrs. Locke

My name is Cortnie Locke, and I am starting my second year at LBCS as the 6th grade Language and Literature and Individuals and Societies teacher.

I was born and raised in Santa Clara, CA. I went to college at UC Santa Barbara and then attended graduate school at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. I have been teaching for over fifteen years and have been lucky enough to live and teach in many amazing places. My first teaching job was in Brooklyn, NY, and I also lived in Sweden for a year teaching Middle School English before moving back here to California.

My family and I moved to Rocklin two years ago from the Santa Cruz Mountains. My husband’s name is Scott, and we have two sons - Everett and Wesley. We love living in this area and enjoy how friendly everyone is here. As a family, we love to travel, be outdoors, cook together, and watch movies. In my free time, I read books every chance I can get, and I also enjoy yoga, hiking, paddle boarding, and drinking way too much coffee.
