Day 1, I went out to begin my testing at 11:30 AM, I started testing the conductivity of my water, and mixed up some sediment to see how it changed the result - it was pretty cool. I brought my dad out to help me with my E. Coli test, and let it set in our shed. The temperature upon waking up was around 72 degrees, while the water temperature was about 62. The air temperature rose into the 80s, but the water temp only rose up to 65 - again, interesting.
Temperature (11:30): 65.3 F
Conductivity: 226 µs/cm
Day 0 E. Coli observations: No colonies - the bacteria food smelled very pungent. (In a bad way.)
PH: 6.3
Additional: 165 points for river quality!
Site 1, primary - on the far right image, a rock bed is visible, having been caused by the flooding of 2023 - that used to be another branch of the river! This is the site where most data was collected
Day one field sketched of (left) my worksite and (right) some vertebrates I thought were interesting.
