I am extremely excited to be working with your child this 2025-2026 school year as I begin my twenty-second year as an educator and my eighth year teaching at Center School. I am eager to use the knowledge I've gained in previous positions I've held, including Special Education Teacher and Reading Specialist, to refine my craft and teaching style in the classroom.
To give you some background knowledge about my experiences as an educator, I have three certifications: Special Education, Reading Specialist and Classroom Teacher. In addition, I have a Masters in Special Education and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Reading. My teaching philosophy is simple; I strive to form a positive relationship with all of my students to ensure that they have an engaging learning experience and can reach their potential in all areas; academically, socially and emotionally. I believe that with a strong home/school partnership, we can do this together.
Now.....a little about my personal life! I reside in Longmeadow with my husband and two children. My daughter is entering 6th grade and my son is entering 8th grade this year; both at Williams Middle School. In our free time, we enjoy eating our favorite foods, heading to Red Sox games, gathering outside with friends, attending concerts, and making future plans with our extended family and friends. This summer, we visited many New England beaches and spent a lot of time at our summer home in New Hampshire on a lake. Although we are sad to see summer go, we are looking forward to new beginnings as we enter another school year.
