I am very excited to be joining the Blueberry Hill School community this year. While I have spent the past 11 years teaching at Center School, returning to Blueberry Hill feels like coming home. I began my career teaching in Longmeadow here 12 years ago, and I am happy to be back working alongside this wonderful school community.
I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Simmons University in Boston, MA and a master’s degree in Special Education from Bay Path University. This will be my thirteenth year teaching. An interesting fact about me is that like you, I also grew up in Longmeadow. I attended Center School, Glenbrook Middle School and Longmeadow High School. I absolutely love being able to teach in the same community where I fell in love with learning as a child.
When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me spending time with my two little boys, Evan and Luke. I'm sure you'll hear lots of stories about them this year. As a family, we love vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, listening to country music, and cheering on our favorite sports teams. I'm a lifelong Yankees fan, which means I just can't bring myself to root for any Boston teams! Because of that, I'm a proud Buffalo Bills fan...and I guess you could say I'm a pretty big Josh Allen fan too. I'm excited to get to know all of my new students and can't wait for a fantastic school year together.
