I am very excited to be joining the Blueberry Hill School community this year. While I have spent the past 11 years teaching at Center School, returning to Blueberry Hill feels like coming home. I began my career teaching in Longmeadow here 12 years ago, and I am happy to be back working alongside this wonderful school community.
I received a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and Psychology from Simmons University in Boston, MA and a master’s degree in Special Education from Bay Path University. This will be my thirteenth year teaching. An interesting fact about me is that like you, I also grew up in Longmeadow. I attended Center School, Glenbrook Middle School and Longmeadow High School. I absolutely love being able to teach in the same community where I fell in love with learning as a child.
When I'm not at school, you'll usually find me spending time with my two little boys. I'm sure you'll hear lots of stories about them this year. As a family, we love vacationing on Martha's Vineyard, listening to country music, and cheering on our favorite sports teams. I'm a lifelong Yankees fan, which means I just can't bring myself to root for any Boston teams! Because of that, I'm a proud Buffalo Bills fan...and I guess you could say I'm a pretty big Josh Allen fan too. I'm excited to get to know all of my new students and can't wait for a fantastic school year together.
