eBooks and Audiobooks
Commonwealth eBook Collections is a statewide initiative to expand access to eBooks to all residents of the Commonwealth. Through a generous LEEF Grant, LHS joins the OverDrive K-12 Shared Sora Collection with over 40,000 eBooks and audiobooks that are only shared among participating schools. Simply access Google Apps or download the Sora App on your phone. Then, sign in with your school Google account.
eResource Storrs Library
Longmeadow Storrs Library card holders can access the materials available through the CW MARS Digital Collection which is available for download to personal devices, not including Kindle. The collection includes a variety of downloadable eBooks, downloadable Audiobooks, and digital magazines. The same CW MARS collection is available within the OverDrive and Libby apps.
Libby is a newer app created by OverDrive. The Libby app makes it easy to switch between multiple library collections and find all your loans and holds on one shelf. The Libby app is compatible with most devices, not including Kindle. For instructions on installing the app and/or downloading materials using Libby, please visit Libby’s help page or ask us at the Reference Desk.
Additionally, by using this app library patrons can search and borrow from several library systems at the same time.
