Challenge Yourself. Earn College Credit. Prepare for College Success
Advanced Placement (AP) courses provide students with the opportunity to engage in rigorous, college-level coursework while still in high school. Designed by the College Board, AP classes challenge students to think critically, strengthen their academic skills, and prepare for success beyond graduation.
Students who enroll in AP courses develop valuable skills in reading, writing, analysis, problem-solving, collaboration, and time management. Many colleges and universities recognize AP coursework as evidence of a student's commitment to academic excellence, and qualifying scores on AP Exams may earn college credit or advanced placement.
At Long Branch High School, we encourage students to challenge themselves by exploring AP courses that align with their interests, strengths, and future goals. Whether you are preparing for college, pursuing a specific career pathway, or simply looking to expand your knowledge, AP courses provide an outstanding opportunity to grow both academically and personally.
