New Jersey Student Learning Assessments (NJSLA) replaced PARCC and it is the state assessments to measure student achievement in English Language Arts (ELA)/Literacy and Mathematics based on standards for grades 3-8 and high school.
New Jersey Students Learning Assessment - Science (NJSLA-S) is a comprehensive Science assessment for grades 5, 8, and 11.
New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessments (Grade 11) will be aligned to NJSLS for grade 10 ELA and NJSLSfor Algebra I and Geometry. IF, after complete the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment, a student does not demonstrate proficiency on the ELA or Mathematics section, the students may take the following steps:
Retake NJGPA in the following summer and/or Fall.
Meet a designated cut score from the same menu of alternative assessments prescribed by the NJ Department of Education.
Complete a Portfolio Appeal
PSAT 8, PSAT 10 and PSAT 11/NMSQT are practice SAT exams that provide students with a baseline measure for students as they progress throughout high school. The PSAT 11/NMSQT qualifies students to enter the National Merit Scholarship Competition.
SAT School Day provides students with the opportunity to take a full SAT exam within their schedule school day. SAT exams are typically held on Saturdays. For more information on how to register for a weekend administration, please see you Guidance Counselor.
AP Exams are a cumulative based exam taken at the end of the AP Course each school year. The AP Exam is a national based assessment.
