Angelica Diaz has been one of the counselors here at LUSD, since 2007. She previously taught at Cabrillo High School for 14 years, before coming to LHS. Mrs. Diaz says, “I love working with students and families, helping and supporting kids through their educational journeys.” She thinks she can definitely see herself working here for a very long time. During an interview, she was asked if she wasn't a counselor what would she be doing? She responds, “I’m not really sure what else I would be doing if I wasn’t a counselor, I love my job and can’t see myself doing anything else!”
Aside from her work life, she likes to spend her free time with her family and friends. She spent this recent thanksgiving with her family and friends. Mrs. Diaz says she is thankful for her family, friends, and health. She didn't attend LHS but did graduate from Santa Ynez High School. Mrs. Diaz doesn't live in Lompoc; she grew up and continues to live in Santa Ynez Valley. Although Lompoc is so close to Santa Ynez she did visit Lompoc a few times to watch games back in her youth.
