Dear Fourth Grade Families,

Welcome to fourth grade! I am excited to have your child in my classroom. I’m looking forward to working with you and your child this year. My positive classroom will be filled with lots of learning, excitement, fun, and success. I want to help each of my students reach his or her fullest potential and to instill in them a love for learning.

I am a graduate from Buena Vista University with a degree in Elementary Education. I am currently beginning my 22nd year of teaching with all twenty two of those years being at Logan-Magnolia. I am proud to be part of the Logan-Magnolia School District.

My husband and I live in Dunlap. My husband, Robert, is self-employed. We are the proud parents of two children. Jesse lives in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He is married and has three children. Nicole lives in Readlyn, Iowa, and is employed at Cuna and owns her own security business.

We will have our specials from 11:10-11:40 using a six day rotation. Day 1 is Music, Day 2 is P.E., Day 3 is Media, Day 4 is Music, Day 5 is P.E., and Day 6 is Guidance. I encourage your child to take his/her library books home to read. However, please help your child remember to bring his/her library books back to school the following day.

Together, we can make this a great learning experience. Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you ever have any questions, concerns, or comments. I want to work with you for the good of your child. Please feel free to call me at home 712-643-5190 or school 712-644-2168. My e-mail is ehartwig@lomaschools.org.
