The Lion of Judah program extends to lower elementary students, encompassing children in the age range of approximately 6 to 9 years old.
In our lower elementary program, we strive to provide a comprehensive educational experience that promotes academic growth, critical thinking, social development, and character building.
Key aspects of our lower elementary program include:
Academic Curriculum:
Language Arts: We focus on enhancing reading comprehension, vocabulary expansion, grammar, and writing skills. Students engage in various literary genres, participate in discussions, and develop their creative and persuasive writing abilities.
Mathematics: Our curriculum covers fundamental mathematical concepts, including arithmetic, geometry, measurement, and problem-solving. We encourage hands-on activities, mathematical investigations, and collaborative problem-solving.
Science: Students explore scientific principles through interactive experiments, inquiry-based learning, and observation. They develop an understanding of the natural world, engage in scientific investigations, and learn to apply the scientific method.
Social Studies: Our curriculum includes topics such as history, geography, civics, and cultural diversity. Students develop an awareness of different societies, historical events, and global perspectives.
Critical Thinking and Problem-Solving:
We foster critical thinking skills by providing opportunities for students to analyze information, evaluate evidence, make connections, and draw conclusions.
Problem-solving activities encourage students to think creatively, develop strategies, and apply logical reasoning to solve complex problems.
Social and Emotional Development:
We emphasize the development of positive character traits such as empathy, respect, responsibility, and perseverance.
Collaborative projects, group discussions, and teamwork activities help students develop effective communication, cooperation, and conflict resolution skills.
Enrichment Activities:
We offer a range of enrichment activities to enhance students' learning experiences, including art, music, physical education, and exposure to cultural and community events.
Field trips, guest speakers, and hands-on experiences enrich the curriculum and provide real-world connections.
Individualized Learning:
Our educators recognize and support the diverse learning needs and styles of students, providing differentiated instruction and personalized learning opportunities.
At Lion of Judah, we aim to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where lower elementary students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We foster a love for learning, critical thinking skills, and the development of well-rounded individuals prepared for future academic challenges.
