The Future of Logan County

Where will we be in 10, 20, 30, or more years from now? We cannot predict the future, but the trend indicates that we should be prepared for continued growth. We cannot allow ourselves to be in a current or future position of needing facilities that we cannot provide for our children.

We have great facilities but they also won't last forever. The age of the other K-8 buildings: Adairville, 35 years; Chandlers, 25 years; Lewisburg, 38 years, and Olmstead, 25 years old. There will be ongoing maintenance, upkeep, and repair costs associated with buildings that old. We must be prepared to make repairs and build when necessary; not years down the road when schools are run down and overcrowded.

The decisions we make today will impact the opportunities students have in the future.
