LiFi is a networked wireless communication system that turns solid-state indoor lighting into an information backbone. It offers an alternate option for high data rate requirements of Wi-Fi and Beyond 5G communications, with a high connection density and staggering bandwidth of order 10 Gbps.
Visible light has a broader spectrum and will benefit 5G and beyond wireless communication systems. The light emitted by LED bulbs is varied at a very high rate. These light variations are captured using a Photo sensor, Solar cells, thus effectively providing a Low-Cost Solution.
With FPGA Boards like Zed-board, ZYBO high-speed on-off bit stream is generated for LED-based transmission. With analogue circuitry, synchronization and a programmable ZYBO board, Multimedia data like Image, Video, and real-time data transmission are done.
