Every month students will complete a current event report. This report will help students learn about the world today and connect historical events to our modern world, bringing a better understanding to the global relationships, issues, and progress around the world today. The template and further instructions for these reports can be found below. Three to four students each month will be selected to present their report to the class, the schedule of student presentations is also below.

Ask your parents/watch the news/read the local newspaper
NewsELA: This is a great resources to find all kinds of articles about things going on in the world today. Use the different search options to find an article that you are interested in. You should be able to create an account easily with your school email, and you should already be enrolled in our World History class on NewsELA as we might use it sometimes.
CNN 10-this 10 minute video might provide you with a topic you want to research, you will then need to find an article about that topic.
Major News Station Websites; Use the "World" or "Global" tab on the American-based news stations to find a global event story.
