Welcome to the
Nipomo Theatre Company
Nipomo Theatre Company was founded in 2002 when the new high school opened. Once known as "Nipomo Drama," the program has grown to play host for two schools, Nipomo High and Central Coast New Tech High. Therefore, we have a new name:
NTC, the Nipomo Theatre Company.
Our Mission
The purpose of the Nipomo Theatre Company (NTC) is multifaceted. First, the company seeks to better themselves and their castmates by developing theatre art skills and life skills, such as comedic timing, public speaking, problem-solving, teamwork, professionalism, etc., and are held to an academic code that encourages them to be academically motivated. Secondly, this company seeks to enrich the local art culture of the surrounding areas by offering Theatrical shows throughout the year that are accessible and relatable to many. Furthermore, this company focuses on supporting other local theater programs, building a spirit of camaraderie amongst performers. This company also acts as a fundraising tool to support the arts at the high school level. Lastly, this company works to support the Visual and Performing Arts CTE Pathway at Nipomo High School by allowing real-life implementation of the skills learned in the pathway classes.
