Research indicates that the most motivating and effective summer reading programs involve student choice and reading, reading, and more reading!  With this in mind, Pine Road has adopted a summer reading program where students can choose any book(s) to read all summer long and log their minutes online.  Students will also be provided with suggested titles (see below), but can choose to read "off list" as well.  As a school community, our collective reading minutes will be added together and the school with the most reading minutes in each state will be recognized by Pennsylvania.  If students, parents, or teachers have questions about  summer reading or need additional book suggestions, please email Mrs. Ellen Zschunke @ ezschunke@lmtsd.org  during the summer months.  You can also follow our library page @PineRoadLibrary and Mrs. Zschunke @ontheshelf4kids on facebook or twitter.

The HV Library is a great resource for summer reading selections as well as reading through the school year.  There are a number of AWESOME events planned this summer - visit HV Library (virtually) and say "hello!" to Ms. Vanessa!
