What is the best way to contact the teacher?

How do you celebrate birthdays?

In fifth grade, we celebrate birthdays without food.  Instead of food, your child may bring in a class set of the following: bookmarks, pencils, erasers, or small pencil sharpeners. 

What encore does my child have on each letter day?

Encore:  Please make sure that your child wears sneakers on gym days.  The encore schedule will be posted once school begins.  

Where is homework posted?

Homework:  This year students will need to make sure they have earbuds or headsets and a charged Chromebook.  Students will also need to read a book of their choice for at least 20 minutes each night. If you and your child are looking for more enrichment, please have your child work on iReady - Reading.

What snacks can I send to school with my child?

How will I know what my child is doing in class?

This year we will also be using Google Classroom as our platform.  You will receive an invite to join the Google Classroom to see what your child is doing in class.

In addition, each week, I will send an ELA update via Talking Points.

Also, please make sure that your contact information is updated on the Home Access Center.  The information listed in the Home Access Center is what I will be using to contact you via email.
