Mrs. Stacey Leichtamer

I am excited to begin another year here at Parkway. This is my 32nd year in the La Mesa Spring Valley School District and I still love my job! I have taught every grade from K-8 at schools in both Spring Valley to La Mesa. I am delighted to be teaching Yearbook, Media and Technology and hope to instill a love for learning and fun into each day.

My degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Studies and Masters of Science in Educational Technology. I hold a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, GATE certification, Online and Blended Instructor Certification and Supplementary Credentials in English, Life and General Science and Computers. More than valuable than any credential, I have actually survived the middle school years with my own children. It can be done!

Traveling is an obsession and consequently, I lead our 8th graders to Washington, D.C. each spring. It is the most rewarding and insane experience for both students and chaperones.

Class Mission

The goal of this class is to inspire creativity, critical thinking and excitement for learning through hard work and cool gadgets. While creating projects that incorporate the elements of design, innovation and convey a clear message, students create projects that are relevant to their lives. Anything is possible.

Technology provides endless opportunities for all students to succeed, innovate and create; all the things that make our country great!
