2024 Eighth Grade

Eastern Seaboard Trip

March 23th - 30th

Enrollment is Now Closed!

Enrollment for the tour has closed, and we can begin planning our adventure. There will be three student meetings, one online assignment, and one parent meeting before we travel. The first meeting is to select our roommates and partners and order optional sweatshirts. All other sessions will be to learn about the student handbook and on-tour expectations. All student meetings are mandatory. If students cannot attend, please make arrangements with me before the meeting date. All student meetings occur from 3:35 to 4:30 p.m. in the Parkway Auditorium, and parents are not required to attend.

Here are all the student meeting dates from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm in the Parkway Auditorium:

Wednesday, November 8, 2023

Wednesday, February 28, 2024

Wednesday, March 13th, 2024

Following our final student meeting, we will have a parent meeting on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 5:00-6:00 p.m. in the Parkway Auditorium. This will allow us to go over the final details of our tour and meet and discuss the tour with your child's chaperone. At the end of February, I will send out a Google Form to collect all traveler's health information, travel concerns and/or relevant information about your child. We must collect this information in a quick and timely manner. If your child has dietary restrictions, please let me know immediately. All students should be in our Google Classroom. Please get in touch with me if you are not enrolled in the Google Classroom. I will post essential information there and send it through Jupiter. Parents can join the classroom, but they can't see the Stream, Classwork, People, or Grades, which is why I will send everything through Jupiter as well. I will continue to monitor student's grades and citizenship as part of the Behavior Contract.

It seems like this trip is a million years away, but you will be surprised how quickly it comes. Please add all the meeting dates to your calendar. We have a fantastic group of chaperones who will help make this an unforgettable trip! If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me through email or leave a message in the office. My voicemail is not a great way to reach me.

Our first tidbit of good news is that we have been confirmed to see Hamilton on Broadway in New York City! I am so excited to share this adventure with all of you!

Thank you!
