Ace Harmony
Ace Harmony is an auditioned co-ed a cappella group in an SATB format. They perform a mix of a cappella styles, with a focus on contemporary a cappella.
ACAPPACA
ACAPPACA is an auditioned a cappella group that is a true mixed bag when it comes to musical style. With a unique mix of voices that allows for a variety of possibilities, this is a group for all voice parts. Nothing is off limits, but the group will perform songs in a more contemporary style than a traditional choral group.
Ace's Angels
Ace’s Angels is an auditioned a cappella group made of exclusively of treble voices (soprano and alto in an SATB choir). They perform a mix of a cappella styles, with a focus on contemporary a cappella.
Ars cantiqua
Ars cantiqua is an un-auditioned co-ed a cappella group that focuses exclusively on Medieval and Renaissance period repertoire.
Flying Aces
Flying Aces is an auditioned a cappella group made of exclusively of tenor and bass voices. They perform a mix of a cappella styles, with a focus on barbershop and doo-wop.
Soulace
Soulace is an auditioned a cappella group made of exclusively treble voices (soprano and alto in an SATB choir). They perform a mix of a cappella styles, with a focus on close harmony and homophonic singing.
Standard Voices
Standard Voices is an auditioned a cappella group devoted entirely to jazz repertoire. It is co-ed; open to students of all voices parts. Depending on the level of interest and quality of auditions, Standard Voices may be split up into two or more sub-groups.
Production Staff
In most years Lower Merion’s a cappella groups are supported by a small, but important, production staff. Unlike the singing groups, production staff is never an auditioned position. If you are interested in joining the LM A Cappella production staff, please see Mr. Hunnex.
