What Are Our Committees?

Constitution Revision Committee

CRC is dedicated to modernizing and updating the Players Constitution (found here)! The document has officially defined Players for decades and needs constant updating. The Vice President organizes this committee once a year. If you are interested in instigating foundational change in Players, CRC is for you!

Reading Committee

Reading Committee is in charge of selecting each show Players is going to perform in the year. The committee is run by the Secretary. Reading Committee reads 6-8 scripts over the course of a month, then meet once a week to discuss what show would be best for Players to perform. Once every member comes to an agreement on a show, it is selected for Players' next performance.

Fundraising Committee

Fundraising Committee is in charge of raising money to fund future Players shows. The committee is run by the Treasurer, who is in charge of delegating tasks to the committee members. The Treasurer will send out an application form to the company in the beginning of the year.

Thespianship Committee

Thespianship Committee is a new Ad Hoc committee. It serves to revisit the concept of Thespianship and create a modernized system for measuring individual achievements in the company. The committee brainstorms types of awards and calculates thespians' points and hours.
