Welcome to the LISD Elementary Counseling Corner!
Meet our School Counselors!
Brandi Wooten Rogers, LES School Counselor
My name is Mrs. Rogers and I began my school counseling journey at Llano Elementary in 2021! I received my Bachelor of Arts in History from Tarleton State University and in 2018, I graduated from Liberty University with a Masters of Education in School Counseling. I taught high school English, Social Studies, and ESL for 14 years before moving into my current role at Llano Elementary. I love being a school counselor and I hope to empower students to be the best they can be.
I love to travel, but at heart, I am a Llano native and I love the Texas Hill Country! When I am not at school, I enjoy helping my family at the ranch and playing with my dogs. I also love to refinish furniture, read, cook, play guitar, crochet, and quilt.
My husband and I live on our family's property in Valley Spring. We have 2 energetic dogs, one of which has been recently trained to be a therapy dog.

Deidre Henderson, PES School Counselor
I have been an educator since 2005, all of which has been in the Llano School District. I spent 21 years teaching at Llano High School before my move to Packsaddle Elementary. I received my Bachelor of Science in Human Sciences from Tarleton State University in 2005 and graduated from UT Tyler with my Master of Arts in School Counseling in 2025.
I enjoy working with students, staff, and families, and am so excited to be part of the Pack!
I grew up in this area and am a long-time Llano County resident. I enjoy spending time with my family, visiting local venues, attending musical and theatrical performances, and enjoying the beautiful life I've been given.
My daughter graduated from Llano High School in 2026 and moved to Abilene to attend Cosmetology School, leaving me with my roommate, Roxie (mini Aussie).

I will update the page periodically with books and resources to help students deal with their different emotions and learning social skills.

Personal and Social is related to ways that we can develop positive character traits. It is important that we learn to understand and appreciate ourselves and other people. Our differences make us special! Each week at school, we have a Word of the Week that focuses on learning and practicing positive character traits such as respect, responsibility, kindness, and generosity.
The Academic page contains links to resources recommended by teachers to help support student academic development.

This can be through classroom guidance lessons, small group lessons, and in individual sessions.
