NHS members are volunteering as free tutors for K-12 Lake Stevens students. For NHS members, at least one hour of volunteer tutoring is required each semester.

Members continued demonstrating scholarship, leadership, service, and character while learning from home.
Members selected, painted, proposed the installation site, and continue to maintain a Little Free Library at the front of Lake Stevens High School campus. The library is registered with LittleFreeLibrary.org and is available to students and community members.
NHS member Sahib Malhi earned a $1000 grant from National Association of Secondary School Principals to host the Little Lights Project. Sahib mentored 5 students elementary and middle school students as they prepared and delivered TED-style presentations in the LSHS Performing Arts Center. Presentations focused on pressing global issues to raise awareness and drive action.
Members design and host a booth at LSSD's annual Heritage Night. In 2025, our booth helped students create paper bag puppets showcasing their identity. In 2026, we hosted a craft station for paper lanterns, explaining the role of light in many cultures represented by our club.
