Call
Objective:
Place a test call before calling parents.
There are two ways to place a call: you can use a computer and headphones, or you can use a cellphone.
Using a computer:
With Google Voice you can text or call.
Verify that you are on the call feature.
Enter the phone number, including area code, and call.
See if there is communication.
If it is successful, keep in mind the delay. Do not rush the conversation.
If it is not successful, you may be connected to the wrong network.

Try the blue cable.
Using a Cell Phone:
With Google Voice you can text or call.

Tap on the Dial Icon
Enter the phone number, including area code, and call
See if there is communication.

If it is not successful, you may be connected to the wrong network.
