Laurissa Jane Music can provide music classes during and after school for ages 5-17 for the schools of New York City. LJMS also provides private piano, guitar and voice lessons. Laurissa Jane Music is deeply committed to providing students with a solid foundation to explore the captivating world of music and arts. Our primary objective is to nurture confidence in each student and help them discover their unique talents.
By participating in this program students will:
Learn vocal warm ups, breathing, phrasing, posture and technique.
Learn about the music/composer background knowledge.
Increase in confidence. Students will be challenged to grow.
Increase in social community as students will have to work together creating more empathy and a more positive self identity.
Be able to participate in additional events LJMS has to offer like recitals and master classes. Separate fee for Master Classes.
Class Information
Classes are available for chorus and group piano during the day or after school.
After School Classes can range from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.
1-2 times per week.
Performances in December and June
More performances can be added.
One teacher will run the class with an assistant from time to time.
LJMS will pick the repertoire for students and distribute it to students.
Instruments may need to be provided by the school depending on how many is needed.
