About the Director

Hi! My name is Ms. Devyn Mulkey and I am so excited to be entering my 3rd year as Director of Bands at Springfield High School! I am a 2024 graduate of LSU with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education. I started my music education journey in Mandeville, Louisiana where I played clarinet and mellophone in the bands at Fontainebleau Junior High and Fontainebleau High School. I also spent some of my summers in high school marching with the Louisiana Stars Drum and Bugle Corps! While at LSU, I performed for three years with the Grammy-nominated Golden Band from Tigerland as well as playing with other performing ensembles. I have taught with many schools in Livingston Parish, including North Corbin Junior High and Walker High School. When I'm not teaching or making music, I enjoy watching movies on Netflix and reading.
