Scholarship: CAALE’s Pinos Nuevos Scholarship 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAY 1, 2026

Description: The CAALE Pinos Nuevos Scholarship awards one graduating high school senior with $10,000 towards any college related costs. Awards are based on the applicant’s academic performance, leadership qualities, and ability to meet the requirements. Appliccation available at: CAALE Scholarship  

Scholarship: Marine Trades Association of New Jersey 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAY.1, 2026

Description: The Marine Trades Association of NJ (MTA/NJ) Foundation has announced the availability of two Boating Industry Scholarships that will be open to any student seeking a career in the recreational boating industry in New Jersey. In addition, the Automotive Training Center scholarship will provide half tuition to a student enrolling in the Marine Service Technology program. These scholarships are funded through the MTA/NJ Foundation, a 501(c)(3).  Application available at:  Marine Trades Association of NJ  

Scholarship: The Donald and Itasker Thornton Memorial Scholarship

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAY 7 , 2026

Description: The Thornton Sisters Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit corporation organized for the purpose of annually providing one-year eduational scholarship(s) to deserving young females of color. The scholarship(s) shall be used to contribute to the student's first year college tuition and/or books depending upon the amount of funds available to the Foundation for that fiscal year.  Application available at: Thornton Sisters Scholarship Application 

Scholarship: New Jersey State Elks Association Vocational Scholarship

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAY 12, 2026

Description: The winners of the New Jersey Elks Vocational Scholarship Competition will each receive a one-time $1000.00 award. There will be two (one male – one female) $1000.00 Vocational Scholarships awarded in each of the twelve Elks’ Districts in New Jersey for a total of $24,000.00 in Scholarship Awards.
