America's Journey: Then, Now, and Tomorrow Art Competition
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAR. 1, 2026
Description: The competition is open to all high school students. Artwork must be the creation a single student. Students may not collaborate on an entry. The contest is open to students in public school, private schools, and home schools. Our office will contact the winning artist. The piece will be displayed at a later event and the student will be recognized for this achievement. Scholarship: America’s 250th Celebration Ought to be a Law Competition
DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION: MAR. 1, 2026
Description: The Office of Senator Andy Kim is kicking off celebrating America’s 250th celebration by inviting high school students to propose a new law. Students should pinpoint a problem that they feel could be addressed through federal legislation (using a template we provide). The winning students will be invited to share their proposed bill at an event with Senator Kim; event details will be shared at a later date. Submissions should be sent to America250@kim.senate.gov. Please put 250th Bill Competition-(Participant’s LAST NAME) on the subject line.

Description: The New Jersey Emergency Preparedness Association (NJEPA) honors the State’s exemplary Emergency Managers through a series of scholarships named in their honor. They are intended for a graduating high school senior, or college student presently enrolled in an accredited college or university interested in pursuing a career in the emergency management field of study. This includes emergency management, homeland security, fire suppression, law enforcement, hazardous material, arson investigation, emergency medical services, planning, Health, Public Health, Social Services, etc.- in the public or private sector. $1,000 scholarships are awarded annually.
