Updates for the 2025-26 School Year

Below, please find notable changes for the 2025-2026 School Year summarized.  

All changes will go into effect starting July 1, 2025.  

Open Access Process - pages 22-25

• • Language has been added to this year’s Course Guide to reiterate and qualify current practices at Livingston High School. Additionally, this language establishes clear accountability and expectations for students who overschedule.

New Courses for 2025-2026 - Course descriptions available under the relevant department.

• • Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Studies

  • AP Computer Science Principles: Engineering

  • Chinese 2 Honors

  • Italian 2 Honors

  • Education Pathway (The College of New Jersey Dual Enrollment): Livingston Public Schools is in discussion and development with The College of New Jersey to run courses at Livingston High School for an Education Pathway.  A “pathway” at LHS is a sequence of courses that enables students to explore and deepen their knowledge in a particular area.  If you think you may be interested in pursuing a future career as a teacher or other educator, please speak with your school counselor.  More information will be shared as soon as it’s available.

  • Data Science Principles (formerly Introduction to Data Science)
