My Background and Colleagues

Hello. My name is Kim Mathews, and I am so excited to be your child's second grade teacher! This is my fourth year teaching at LBE. Prior to moving to LBE, I was a third grade teacher at CHE for 8 years. I was also a long term sub for about 2 years at SRE before that. I'm thrilled to be teaming with my awesome LBE colleagues: Dan Conroy, Kevelle Greer, and Christina Luce, Jordan Maldonado, Meagan Walker, and Bailey Winn. 

My Philosophy on Teaching and Learning

I strongly believe that all children should feel safe and valued. I also believe that all children can be successful. Your child's goals are important to me. I am dedicated to working with you and our LBE team to ensure that this is a year filled with great learning experiences. My students are very dear to me, and I feel so fortunate to have a job that I love!

More About Me

I grew up in Liverpool and continue to call it home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, hiking, and traveling to ocean beaches.
