This past week we read the following stories: We the People and People Who Fought for a Cause. We also started our last Knowledge unit, Fighting for a Cause and read People Who Fought for a Cause. Ask your child about what it means to fight for equal rights (everyone being treated fairly by having the same rights). 

In math last week, we completed our unit 4 test on the half day. If your child was out that day, they will complete it sometime this week. On Friday, we started lesson 28, Recognize and Draw Shapes. Please consider doing the activity on the back of the family letter, when time allows.

• No School (Memorial Day weekend)- Friday - May 22nd, Monday - May 25th , and Tuesday - May 26th

• Third Grade Orientation  - Tuesday, June 9th, 5:30 pm at Liverpool Elementary (see the flyer below)

• Sliding into Third Grade  Ceremony  - Tuesday, June 16th
