Cavalcante has been spotted but not captured after prison escape - Delaware Online
Chester County prison inmate, Danelo Cavalcante, escaped August 31st leading one of the largest two week manhunts this country has ever seen.Â
Cavalcante escaped the medium security facility by scaling the building. While on the run, Cavalcante managed to shave his head and steal a rifle.
Amidst the run, Cavalcante attempted to recruit his lifelong sister who ultimately did not come to his aid.
Cavalcante survived on the run by stumbling upon a watermelon farm, as well as sourcing water from a local stream.
After just two weeks, Cavalcante was located through a heat seeking jet and captured by a heavily armed tactical team with K-9 units.
While being transported to Montgomery County Detention Center, where he will serve his life sentence for murder, Cavalcante was stopped to take a photograph with the arresting officers and K-9 unit.
