This event was led by Amanda Collins, the Early Childhood Ed instructor. Parents brought in their children and sat back while students watched and helped the children paint pumpkins. Early Childhood Ed students were randomly paired with a child. Katyra Hubbard, a student in the Early Childhood Ed program, is shown with little Josie painting a disney princess pumpkin with her name on it. “I love being able to get to know the kids and do these activities with them, they are just so cute!” Says Hubbard.
The excitement in the eyes of the toddlers when they saw the pumpkins was overwhelming, even though some pumpkins were messier than others, it was an overall educational, and fun, experience for everyone involved, big or small.
