HOMEWORK and CLASSWORK
Homework is given to provide an opportunity to reinforce information and practice skills learned in the classroom. It is important that homework is completed on time as it is reviewed in class.
No late work is accepted during the 4th marking period.
LAB ACTIVITIES
Lab activities are often started in class and finished outside of the classroom.
Students earn 50% of the lab grade for participation. The remaining credit is earned by completing the lab report portion.
Lab reports turned in late will result in a reduction in points.
Projects that are not turned in on time will result in an alternative class assignment that can be completed for a reduced grade.
QUESTS / QUIZZES - TESTS / PROJECTS
Quests are weekly opportunities to demonstrate understanding of recent content.
Quizzes are more in depth assessments of content knowledge and skills.
Corrections may be made to Quests and Quizzes ONLY for an increased grade. This opportunity can serve as a study aid when preparing for Unit Tests.
Unit Tests are summative assessments. At least one week's advance notice is given for all unit tests. Students are not able to correct Unit Exams.
Projects are assigned with at least a week notice and students are provided with opportunities to develop ideas in class.
