GRADES

Tests and Projects – Typically numerical scores (cannot be corrected). Projects earn rubric based grades

Quests and Quizzes - Typically numerical scores (can be corrected for increased score)

Lab Reports – May be a numerical grade or a rubric based grade

Homework / Classwork – Usually graded based on effort and work quality

ASSIGNMENT POLICIES

Late Work – Assignments that are handed in late will result in a reduction in your grade. All work should be turned in on the day it is due.

Absence - If you are absent you will be given time to make up the work without being penalized. Please be sure to see me on the day you return to school to find out what you have missed. If you have missed a lab activity, you will be assigned a time during which it can be made up and given a new due date for completion. You must hand in any assignment that was due when you were out on the day you get back.

Lessons – If you have a lesson scheduled during class time, you must notify me personally DURING HOMEROOM and spend additional time catching up with me during lunch/core/academic support. If a lab experiment or test is scheduled for class, you may be asked to change your lesson time.

Extra Help – If you are not satisfied with your grades or need additional help, you are encouraged to make use of the following times for extra help.

1. Meet me during academic support time.

2. See me during lunch.

3. Make an appointment to meet before school or after school
