Dear Live Oak Singers Family,
As part of this family unit; we are committed to caring for your health and well-being; but we are also morally obligated to play a role by supporting our local health officials and government leaders during this public health time of need. We all love to sing, create music, and many of us take great pride in the joy that we bring to others that take part in receiving our message of love and inclusion. Our chorus family is a very important part of our lives.
In our attempt to remain as transparent as we can be with each and every one of you all, the Board of Directors has ultimately decided that your overall long-term health and well-being takes such a huge priority over any weekly rehearsals or performances. We've placed a temporary performance break for the month of March. This will include any and all rehearsals, sectionals, social events, and non-contractual events we've committed to. Towards the end of March, the Board of Directors will reassess and determine plans for April and beyond.
To be clear:
- March 22nd Cabaret Show is postponed – we will be working to determine an alternate date later this month. This also includes the March 19th technical rehearsal. You will receive an email from our Secretary, Joseph Cuestas, on options to donate your ticket purchase, apply it towards our rescheduled date, or to receive a refund. If you do not receive an email within the next 36 hours, reach out to Secretary@LiveOakSingers.org.
- All remaining Rehearsals & Sectionals for March are canceled – the board will reassess the situation over the next couple of weeks and let everyone know our plans for April and beyond as soon as possible.
The Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak is a rapidly changing situation from a public health perspective. Please do everything you can to follow the city and state guidelines and keep yourself safe and healthy during the temporary break.
Please remember that we are still participating in The Big Give 2020, online day of giving (until further notice) that is coming up the following week on March 26, 2020. We’ll keep everyone informed as plans evolve and remember, the Board of Directors and I are available anytime, so please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
We hope we will be singing again together soon!
In Faith, Hope, & Love
